RETAILTECH JAPAN 2021, the largest and most influential trade show specializing in retail information systems, was held at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan from 9 to 12 March.
Our booth showcased the whole range of cutting-edge retail solutions, including InforTab, the Electronic Shelf Labels (ESLs), the product finder called InforTab as well as our brand new RTLS (Real-Time Location System).
This year, RAINUS prepared an interactive zone where visitors can design the layout of the label display on their own.
In particular, an NFC tagging attracted much attention from the visitors. Electronic Shelf Labels (ESLs) can leverage the NFC technology in various ways. For instance, in-store customers can simply find detailed information on products with their mobile phones or take advantage of interactive promotions.
Exhibition Highlights
RTLS (Real-Time Location System)
RTLS provides accurate real-time location data using Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth LE) technology and advanced proprietary algorithms. Retailers can keep track of valuable assets, streamline the picking process and optimize route finding for both customers and store employees in real-time.
Smart Shelf (InforTab Plus)
InforTab Plus is the key to boost sales and enhances in-store shopping experience. Leverage its full HD display to display eye-catching content such as videos or images via Wi-Fi for effective marketing in-store.
Product Finder (InforTab Finder)
InforTab Finder is a smart self-service kiosk that communicates with our ESL system. Shoppers no longer have to spend a lot of time finding their desired products on the shelves.
RAINUS Japan demonstrated satisfactory battery life, a full range of products, and dynamic content and font types on label designer. “Most of the visitors were already aware of product features as they’ve seen the use case of Bic Camera. It’s great news for us that we had the opportunities to expand the market share in Japan. This year, we were able to capture the attention of the customers in the apparel industry, in particular, and we believe it shows a potential demand for fashion tags that will be launched this year,” said Kwang Lee, the Country Manager of RAINUS Japan.
